description Terms of service
Last updated: June 22, 2026
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of Floatee, a centralized manager for todos, ideas, and notes published by BIG et Nouf and currently available at https://floatee.me/. The service lets you capture, organize, and track todos, ideas, and notes across projects and shared workspaces, with a REST API your coding agents can use to fetch, comment on, and close items. It is intended for developers and technical teams.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or by using the service, you fully and unconditionally accept these terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the service.
3. User account
Account creation goes through a third-party OAuth provider (GitHub, Codeberg). You are responsible for the security of the third-party account you use to sign in, and for the confidentiality of the API tokens generated from the service.
4. Data and content
You retain ownership of the content you create in the service (todos, ideas, notes, comments, and attachments). The service is built around a full, searchable history: items are soft-deleted rather than erased, so deleted, done, and wontfix items stay in your history and full-text search until you permanently remove them or close your account.
We process your data only to operate the service and never sell it. Operating the service relies on a small number of technical sub-processors: our hosting provider (o2switch, France) for storage and your OAuth provider (GitHub or Codeberg) for sign-in. You are responsible for not sending personal or sensitive data of third parties through your items without a proper legal basis.
5. AI agents and integrations
Floatee is agent-first: you can connect your own coding agents and scripts to the API using the tokens you generate. These agents, and any AI services they rely on, are third-party tools that you choose, configure, and control. We do not provide, operate, or supervise them, and we are not responsible for their behavior, output, availability, or for how they process the data you route through them.
You are responsible for everything an agent does on your behalf: any action performed with your API token is treated as your own. You must ensure your use of a third-party agent or AI service complies with that provider's own terms.
Do not store secrets in your content. Items, comments, and attachments are stored as you write them, are visible to everyone in your workspace, and may be read by the agents you connect. Never put passwords, API keys, access tokens, or other credentials or sensitive third-party data in a ticket. We cannot be held liable for the exposure or misuse of secrets you place in your content.
6. Service availability
The service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of availability or continuity. The publisher reserves the right to suspend the service temporarily for maintenance or any other reason. To keep the service stable for everyone, the API is rate-limited (currently 300 requests per minute and per token); requests beyond that limit are temporarily rejected.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for any indirect damage, loss of data, or loss of profit arising from the use or unavailability of the service. You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, nor to send spam, malware, or content that infringes the rights of others, and not to attempt to disrupt or circumvent the service's security or rate limits. The publisher may suspend or close any account that breaches these terms.
8. Changes to these terms
The publisher may amend these terms at any time. Material changes are announced through the in-app changelog, and the "last updated" date above is revised accordingly. Continuing to use the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute shall be brought before the competent courts within the jurisdiction of the publisher's registered office (Arras, France).
